Summary
Due to the highly sensitive nature of the work, applicants should note that security clearance is required for this role. To gain security clearance you must have five years continuous residency in the UK. Security clearance is undertaken by a third party to police personnel vetting standards (NPPV/3 and SC), as such any criminal convictions may prevent you from gaining security clearance. In addition, all successful applicants will be required to undertake drug and alcohol testing prior to commencing employment as well as assessment of suitability to work with Firearms.

We are looking for individuals with experience in any of the following: handling, examining and reporting a variety of different classifications of firearms, is highly motivated, enthusiastic and possesses the competence and team spirit to support others and contribute to a positive culture. • Degree level education
• Interest in firearms
• At least one year work experience
• Demonstrate good organisational skills
• Have high levels of resilience and flexibility and the ability to work to deadlines
• Demonstrate ownership of issues and their resolution
• Communicate and work proactively with others (both colleagues and customers), focussing on a collective goal
• Embrace continuous improvement projects with active involvement
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
• Examinations of variety of exhibits to standard operating procedure requirements and required turnaround times
• Laboratory and exhibit management
• Maintain set KPIs and competences
• Reporting in accordance with set turnaround times
• Training via our comprehensive Pathways model
