Physics Teacher - Maternity Cover (Part-Time, 3 Days per Week)
Prospero Teaching are seeking an enthusiastic Physics Teacher to join our dedicated Science Department at a leading independent school in Poole. This part time role is to cover a maternity leave and will involve teaching Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5, including preparation for GCSE and A-Level Physics.
This is an exciting opportunity to teach in a forward-thinking and supportive environment with motivated students and excellent resources.
Contract/Position Details:
- Location: Poole
- Position: Physics Teacher
- Start date: After October half term
- Contract: Temporary
- Full time/part time: 3 days a week (the days to be confirmed)
- Hours: 07:30am - 16:00pm (including meetings and parents evenings)
- Minimum rate of pay: Paid to scale
Experience, Training and Qualifications:
- Science or similar graduate, with a 2:2 or higher
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent is essential
- Previous experience working in a UK school
- Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year
- DBS (on the update service)
What you will be doing:
- Deliver engaging and challenging Physics lessons across KS3 - KS5
- Plan, prepare, and assess pupil's work in accordance with school policies
- Contribute to the continued development of the Science curriculum
- Participate in departmental meetings and school events
