Location: Grantham, Lincolnshire (NG31)
Pay: £90 - £100 per day
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm (Term-time only)
Contract: Long- term to permanent
Start Dates: Immediate start available & September 2025 start also available

Are you from a background in care, support work, or social services? Have you worked with children, young people, or adults with challenging behaviour, mental health needs, or additional support requirements? If so, your skills could be the perfect fit for a role in a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) school.
We're recruiting two dedicated and empathetic Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming SEMH school in Grantham, part of a highly regarded Multi-Academy Trust committed to inclusion and support. This school works with young people aged 5-16 who need a calm, consistent, and understanding environment to thrive.
Whether you're ready to start right away or planning ahead for a September 2025 move, we have opportunities available for both.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Supporting students with SEMH needs on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Assisting teachers with learning activities and emotional regulation strategies
- Building trust and rapport with students through positive relationship-building
- Using your experience to help manage behaviour and de-escalate situations calmly
- Providing structure and emotional support during the school day
- Supporting inclusion across classroom and outdoor learning sessions
Who We're Looking For:
- Essential: Experience working with challenging behaviour, trauma, or mental health - from education, social work, residential care, youth offending, or similar roles
- A compassionate and resilient approach to supporting young people
- A strong communicator and committed team player
- Someone open to learning and adapting within a school environment
