Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant - PMLD (Secondary School)

Salary: £110 - £120 per day
Job Type: Full-time, Long-term

Job Description:

A specialist secondary SEN school in Greenwich is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people with complex needs in a school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small group support to students aged 11-19 with PMLD.

Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff to deliver tailored learning and care plans.

Support students with physical and sensory impairments, communication challenges, and medical needs.

Assist with personal care and manual handling (training can be provided if needed).

Requirements:

Experience working with children or young people with PMLD, SEN, or in a care-related role.

A calm, empathetic, and flexible approach to working with vulnerable students.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

A valid Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one.
