An exciting opportunity has arisen for a registered Allied Health professional
We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly skilled, and experienced clinical AHP manager with experience in community Children services who is currently in an NHS leadership role
You will be the operations and clinical lead for Enfield North Mid in the community Children services working within the Community Directorate to ensure professional leadership, practice and expertise across teams. As the Clinical Manager for this service you will provide supportive operational and clinical leadership and management with the option of maintaining a clinical caseload within an agreed area of specialism. This post will ensure the provision of high quality, responsive leadership to lead on the development and implementation of child and family -centred pathways and other service improvement initiatives.
You will be an integral member of the Children's Services leadership Team working alongside colleagues in therapy, nursing, psychology and medical services including Child Development services to improve and build on the core offers in Enfield.
This exciting role enables you to gain experience in the management and delivery of Children's Therapies services. You will implement and manage referral flow, systems and processes to ensure that services comply with Trust-wide policies and national/local targets.

We also provide community services and have a dedicated 0-19 service for children and young people in Enfield so that they can get the best possible start in life. This includes health visitors and school nurses who are delivering the national Healthy Child Programme, which provides a structured framework for the delivery of key interventions to support the health and wellbeing of children and families from 0 to 5 and school aged children from 5-19. To manage autonomously a small, highly specialist and complex caseload appropriate to own specialist area and clinical skillset, in accordance with Specialist interest
This includes:
• Gaining appropriate consent
• Comprehensive highly specialist assessment and differential diagnosis of individual children with diverse and complex presentations using a range of specialist assessments/techniques.
Frequently weighing up complex clinical management decisions in the context of conflicting clinical indicators.
Planning, delivering and evaluating highly specialist treatment programmes
Referring on to other services/professionals as appropriate, including CAMHS, Paediatrician
Using highly specialist knowledge and demonstrating advanced skills and dealing with complex issues to generate appropriate strategies for caseload management
Negotiating with CYP parents/carers, and others around individual case management
Writing reports reflecting highly specialist knowledge and providing specific advice for statutory assessment of special educational needs.
Analysing clinical and social information from a range of sources / options and integrating into assessment and development of specialist care/treatment plan.
