What You’ll Do & What You’ll Bring
Manage Webb’s Garden, lead volunteering in East Kent, support fundraising and social value projects. You bring experience in volunteer management, leadership, and project delivery.

As Senior Volunteer & Social Value Coordinator, your work will support KMPT in our internal and broader system transformation roles to ensure we place the patient at the heart of everything we do. The role will contribute operationally to the formulation and delivery of the Trust and System strategic objectives including overseeing all the work programmes and projects related to the directorate portfolio – specifically our Green Spaces initiative.

Webb's garden is a volunteer led garden based in St Martins – Canterbury. It is a garden that has multiple purposes and is a valuable asset to the trust and charity alike. The garden is used as a therapeutic space for our inpatients – supported by the Occupational Therapy Teams at St Martins.

You will actively promote and raise the profile of volunteering & charity in partnerships with the team across the Trust and wider local health economy.

You will have experience in growing and managing volunteers, income generation for charitable and social value projects, and bring an ambitious approach to the growth of the our volunteering programme, social value and charitable activities, to support the transformation of services for our patients

Key results/duties areas:

KEY RESULT AREAS:

30%: You will be responsible for the recruitment, placement and support of volunteers. This includes onboarding, supervision and building relationships with the teams.

30%: You will oversee the management the of Webb’s Garden, including the line management of a Garden Supervisor and Webb’s garden volunteers, whilst maintaining safety at the garden in line with HSE standards. You will be responsible for the development of the garden as a therapeutic and charitable space, ensuring the initiative is maintained and thriving.

20% You will support the growth and development of the greenspaces & social value across the charity and Trust, including securing funding and value add for projects. This will include assisting with the planning and delivery of projects, partnerships and funding streams, and the development of key monitoring and impact reporting tools.

20% You will support the promotion of social value and charitable activities within the Trust and externally - creating and disseminating communications as well as supporting internal and external engagement events.
