Personal Care Assistant/Befriender required to assist a kind, fun, loving and chatty 11 year old, with a Neurological and Learning Disability, living in the Motherwell area.
You would be required to provide one to one care and assistance within their home, and in the community with participation in social activities. Your duties would involve assisting with tasks such as:
· Accompany to swimming, judo, visiting museums, cinema, enjoying nature by visiting parks and lakes
· Interests include music, gaming and movies
· Enjoys going to shopping centres and going out for food
· Any other daily living tasks to promote independent living.
Must take a proactive and innovative approach to support and encourage individual to be involved in activities suited to their needs.
The most important qualities are a warm and friendly nature and a desire to work within a caring role.
Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
Driver not essential, enjoys public transport.
Experience is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.
Recruiting for 1 position
Guaranteed permanent position of 6 hours per week
EXAMPLE
Saturday: 11:00am – 5:00pm but this is flexible.
£13.00 per hour
