Summary

Salary: Up to £24,000 per annum
Work Days & Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
Working Policy: Flexible hybrid-working policy, with a minimum of two days a week from our Chester head office.

About the Role

As SEO Executive, you will undertake tasks to support the organic growth of Sykes and our agency brands. This role involves using a variety of techniques to discover and analyse potential keywords that written website content can be optimised with, to ensure our landing pages achieve the best possible rankings in organic search results, whilst meeting our customers’ expectations. Furthermore, the role will involve an analytical approach to ensure our sites are also measured against conversion rates to drive efficiency at the point of sale.  You’ll receive guidance and mentorship from senior SEO team members to help you grow your skills and confidence in the role.



Your Responsibilities

As SEO Executive, you will support the delivery of the following areas:


Creating, updating and enhancing landing page and editorial content on the websites 
Undertaking keyword research to ensure written content is optimised & new pages / blog posts are created 
Working with Property Management teams to help populate poorly optimised pages 
Carrying out website health checks and implement technical amendments to the site 
Using Google Analytics to monitor session and conversion rate performance 
Working closely with the product/conversion rate optimisation team to ensure improved efficiency and performance 
Providing the PR and Social teams with interesting properties that can be used as part of marketing activity 
Being an advocate for our sister sites and be able to communicate its importance to the wider business 




Skills and Qualifications

Essential Experience:


Strong knowledge of SEO and best practices
Experience of working effectively as part of a team 
Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines 
Experience in working on content creation, as well as an understanding of the more technical aspects of SEO 
Previous experience managing multiple clients 
Experience using SEO tools (SEMRush, Screaming Frog, AHREFS…) 
Impeccable writing skills with a high level of attention to detail 
Experience in competitor analysis, keyword research and developing strategies to grow performance from organic sources
Some experience in link acquisition, including list creation and outreach.  
Eagerness to learn and contribute to team goals.



Although standouts will also have:


Educated to degree level in a relevant subject (e.g. Digital Marketing, Creative Writing, English or Journalism) 
Portfolio of creative work 
Experience using Google Analytics 
Understanding of HTML, CSS & JS 
Experience using content management systems and MS Office
