Location: North Curry, Somerset
Salary: £13.50 per hour (paid weekly)
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 2:00pm – 10:00pm (30-minute unpaid break)
Plus: 1 in every 4 Saturdays worked, with the Friday before off in lieu
We’re looking for a dedicated and detail-focused Quality Control Operative to join a food production team in North Curry. This hands-on role is factory based and key to ensuring food quality and safety standards are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct daily start-up checks

Calibrate production and lab equipment
-
Perform swabbing (ATP, allergens, lab samples)
-
Check product quality and verify documentation
-
Maintain and update labelling systems
-
Conduct inventory and stock checks
-
Monitor and report temperature logs
-
Assist with audits, meeting minutes and specification updates
-
Ensure compliance with food safety and BRC standards
What We’re Looking For:
-
Experience working in a chilled/frozen food production environment
-
Comfortable handling both raw and cooked chicken
-
Adheres to PPE and hygiene regulations (full PPE provided)
-
Clear communicator with excellent attention to detail
-
Familiar with food safety protocols – reliable and focused

On-site canteen with microwave, kettle, toaster – bring your own food
