Production Operative (Days)
J G Pears (Newark) Ltd is a rendering company that takes animal by-products and turns it into sustainable high-quality products like bio-fuels and pet food ingredients.
Join the team at JG Pears – where we’re proud of the vital role we play in creating a more sustainable future. We are currently looking for a Production Operative to join our team at JG Pears. This is a full-time, hands-on role for someone who thrives in a busy environment and has a strong work ethic.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 5:00pm

Responsibilities
• Filling dolavs and bins with processed meal material efficiently and safely
• Loading dolavs/bins onto curtain-sided trailers using Telehandler or FLT
• Transporting and tipping contents into hoppers for continued processing
• Reloading empty containers for reuse, maintaining workflow
• Conducting basic equipment checks and reporting any faults or maintenance needs
• Maintaining cleanliness and adhering to hygiene standards across the work area
• Supporting general site operations and assisting colleagues as needed
Requirements
• Valid licences for Shunter, Telehandler, and Forklift Truck (FLT) – ideal but not essential for the right candidate willing to train
• Previous experience working in a production, warehouse, or industrial environment
• Ability to work independently and follow clear instructions
• A strong focus on safety, teamwork, and attention to detail
*Due to location own transport is essential.
