Summary

A vibrant school in Oxford is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable General Science Teacher to join their dedicated Science department. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher to contribute to a dynamic team and inspire students across Key Stage 3 and 4 (and potentially KS5, depending on experience). Starting September 2025.

Duties as a General Science Teacher:

  • Teach General Science (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics) to KS3 and KS4 students

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that cater to a diverse range of learners

  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback

  • Contribute to curriculum development and the wider life of the school

  • Promote a love for science through extra-curricular activities and STEM initiatives

Ideal General Science Teacher:

  • A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a specialism in Science

  • Strong subject knowledge across all three sciences

  • A creative and reflective approach to teaching and learning

  • High expectations for pupil achievement and behaviour as their General Science Teacher

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills as a General Science Teacher.
