Would you love to teach in a happy, family environment with children eager to learn?

At St. Michael’s CE Bamford Primary School, we are seeking to appoint a teacher to cover a maternity leave, for the academic year 2025/26. You will need to be a committed, caring teacher, confident to work in Nursery. If you are passionate about delivering top-quality learning and believe that every child can and will succeed, we would welcome an application. Applications from ECTs are also encouraged.

This is a temporary contract to cover maternity leave, and will be for a period of up to 12 months.

Applications should be sent to office@stmichaelscebam.rochdale.sch.uk with supporting statements of no more than two A4 pages at 12pt font outlining experience, by 11:59pm on Sunday 1st June 2025. The interview process will take place on Tuesday 10th June 2025.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

The ability to converse at ease with customers and service users and provide advice in accurate spoken English is an essential requirement of this post.

Applicants are advised that by applying for this position they are declaring that they are not subject to any immigration controls or restrictions that prohibit them undertaking work in the UK, and that they are able to provide proof of their Right to Work in the UK if they are invited to attend an interview.

The school will carry out an online search as part of their due-diligence for all shortlisted candidates in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2024.

Applicants are informed that if appointed to this post their contract of employment will be with the school governing board who is the employer, and not Rochdale Council.
