What you will doing
You will be working on some of our national development projects across England, Scotland and Wales and in a collaborative manner with Planning and Environment colleagues. This is a key position where you will have the opportunity to build a team, mentor, and endeavour to develop their professional experience. You’ll be contributing towards the continued success of the business and team through the effective delivery of a wide variety of projects. The development of client relationships and securing new projects forms part of the role.
You’ll generate new and repeat business, as well as provide professional consultancy advice and services to our clients and colleagues. The National Development & Infrastructure Planning Team is also accountable for coordinating or assisting our submissions for frameworks, large tenders involving other teams within the Division and aiding other offices where necessary.
Who we are looking for
With experience within this sector, you’ll already be familiar with what we’re looking for.
· Qualified MIED, IEMA and or RTPI
· A highly experienced and knowledgeable practitioner who has experience of economic impact and ES Socio Economic Chapter writing
· Strong directorship qualities
· Experience of appearing as an expert witness in Examinations in Public as well as Public Inquiries
· Strong people management experience
· A strategic thinker with strong negotiating techniques and a track record of taking ownership of and achieving outcomes for customers, business, teams, and self
· Have an established market reputation with a demonstrable record of winning sustainable and commercially viable projects
· Good financial and project management know-how
· Great influencing and communication techniques that enable you to build, maintain and consolidate strong working relationships with colleagues, customers and external bodies.
