We are looking for an Environmental Health Officer to join our forward-thinking Environmental Protection team. This is an exciting role investigating complaints, planning and licensing consultations, air quality management, contaminated land assessments, private water supplies, drainage, public health funerals and filthy and verminous premises.

Who we are looking for:

If you are enthusiastic, innovative and will positively contribute to driving the service forward, we would love you to join our team. You will also need to use your own initiative, be proactive and work well in a team and alone.

As a minimum you would have:

a BSc or MSc degree or equivalent, in Environmental Health
current technical and working knowledge of Environmental Protection
excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines
a qualification in acoustics and noise control (would be an advantage)
And be:

a member of the CIEH
working towards professional registration with the CIEH

Newly qualified Environmental Health Officers / Environmental Health Practitioners are encouraged to apply.
