Job Description – Chef
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Chef to lead our kitchen operations with a strong focus on quality, hygiene, and team supervision. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing food preparation, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest culinary and safety standards are upheld at all times.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Procure or requisition food supplies, inspecting all goods upon delivery to ensure they meet required quality standards.
Plan menus and take responsibility for the preparation, seasoning, and cooking of dishes, or supervise these processes to ensure consistency and excellence in presentation and taste.
Supervise, organise, and provide instruction to kitchen staff while managing either the entire kitchen or a designated section.
Maintain high standards of hygiene and health & safety in accordance with NEA (National Environmental Agency) regulations.
Plan and coordinate day-to-day kitchen operations, including the efficient management of food preparation, equipment cleaning, and utensil handling.
Implement strict procedures for the safe handling, labelling, and storage of all food items to maintain freshness and prevent contamination.
Ensure kitchen operations are carried out in a safe, sanitary, and efficient manner, fostering a clean and productive working environment.
