We are working on behalf of a highly regarded, values-driven school in West Sussex to recruit a Teacher of PE. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated PE specialist to join a thriving all-through school community, educating students aged 11–16 in a supportive and aspirational environment.
The Opportunity:
This is initially a fixed-term maternity cover role, offering the chance to:
• Teach engaging PE lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
• Work in a forward thinking school that values both academic excellence and holistic development
• Contribute to a vibrant extracurricular sports programme
• Join a collaborative and welcoming staff team committed to student wellbeing and success
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver inclusive and motivating PE lessons tailored to student needs
• Foster a safe, supportive, and energetic learning environment
• Support enrichment activities including sports clubs, competitions, and school events
• Collaborate with colleagues to continually develop the curriculum and share best practice
About You:
We are seeking a candidate who:
• Ideally hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) although exceptions can be made for the right candidate.
• Brings energy, passion, and creativity to physical education
• Has excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
• Thrives in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
