Registered Nurse Practitioner
Manse Road Medical Centre
Hours: 30+ (Negotiable)
Pay: Negotiable
Manse Road Medical Centre is looking for a Nurse Practitioner. We are flexible with sessions and days and we offer a competitive salary.
Main tasks and duties
• Assessments and examinations for both chronic disease and minor/acute ailments, offer treatment, advice, and co-ordinate further care as necessary. (Senior clinician will always be available for advice and supervision as needed.
• Candidate should be able to read results and advise/prescribe correct treatment plan.
• Be willing to demonstrate a willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new protocols, technologies, and best practice in healthcare delivery, with ability to use own initiative.
• Uphold a high standard of duty of care, demonstrating empathy, respect, and professionalism in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues as per NMC guidance.
• Work collaboratively with other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure seamless delivery of care and optimal patient outcomes. Please note that whilst not essential, the ability to prescribe medications would be valued, enhancing your capacity to provide comprehensive care to our patients.
Qualifications and Skills
• Registered Nurse qualification with current license and registration.
• Prescribing desirable but not essential, further training can be given
• Chronic disease management training
• SCRRS (smear) qualification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritise tasks efficiently.
• Good time management
• Commitment to providing patient-centered care and promoting health and well-being.
We are a friendly, supportive, long established and innovative practice with a list size of approximately 3900 patients we have 1 GP Partner, 2 Long Term Locums, 1 Part-time Nurse Practitioner, 4 Administrative Staff and the Practice Manager. We also have attached support in the form of Mental Health Nurse Support, Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner, Community Link Worker, and NHS Pharmacy support. We have access to a treatment room in the nearby Health Centre.
We use Vision and Docman, as well as order comms (electronic lab requests). We have good signposting with telephone triaging from the reception staff, and good peer support.
We are within easy commute from M8 and have transport links locally.
