Watcombe Childrens Centre Nursery are looking for a Cook to join our team. The role will include cooking a two-course ‘home cooked’ meal, from fresh, for about 60 children daily. Duties will also include serving and general kitchen duties including cleaning.
You will also prepare snacks, maintain checks and hygiene requirements in the nursery and prepare food orders for shopping. This role is for 37.5 hours (minimum) per week. This post requires a person that is passionate and enthusiastic about nutritious home cooking. You will need to be able to work under pressure, work to strict timings, and understand dietary / allergy requirements.
This role is for all year round.

Experience:
• cooking: 1 year (Essential)
Licence:
• Level 3 Food Hygiene (Preferred)
Job Duties:
• Planning and preparing nutritionally, healthy Eating, well balanced meals
• Prepare all food items as directed in a hygienic and timely manner
• Follow recipes and presentation specifications
• Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintain a clean working station whilst adhering to health & safety standards
• Assist with the cleaning and organisation of kitchen and equipment
• Restock items as needed throughout the shift
• Adhere to all food hygiene & safety standards
Additional Duties:
• Food shopping
• Recording food temperatures
• Preparing reports
