Summary

For this role, we are seeking a highly experienced equestrian to join our busy yard, Manor Stables as an Assistant Yard Supervisor. The successful candidate will assist with the day to day running of the yard including yard tasks, ensuring the fitness of the horses and ponies, and supervising and instructing students in practical tasks.
You will need to have a minimum of a BHS Stage 2 Teach or similar qualification, a minimum of a level 3 Equine management qualification or similar and the ability to train and produce horses to the highest standard.
The successful candidate will be able to work flexibly according to course and yard requirements. A flexible and positive attitude is required alongside the ability to challenge and motivate students. The role would suit someone who is working in industry and is now seeking a new challenge. This post holder will have the opportunity to train for further professional BHS exams.
Own horse welcome at reduced livery rate – subject to suitability.

The college doesn’t hold a sponsorship licence therefore we are not open to candidates who require sponsorship under the points-based system.

Status: Permanent

Hours: 39 hours per week worked over 4 days Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday with flexibility to meet business needs.

Salary: £24,829 per annum
