The Team Manager will be responsible for the operational management and development of the OpCourage North West service in conjunction with the senior management team.

OpCourage North West is a multi-disciplinary team of practitioners is commissioned to offer psychological treatment and interventions to Veterans of the British Armed Forces who live in the North West, who are experiencing mental health difficulties. The post holder will manage the operational requirements of the service, and have clear aims for the team’s development and be able to achieve targets and goals set.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
• To manage the OpCourage Service, supported by the services lead.
• To effectively manage, direct and supervise the work of staff within the team.
• To effectively and efficiently manage resources within the team in liaison with the service manager.
• To ensure the team work to national legislation, local policies and procedures and eligibility criteria.
• To ensure the service works to agreed objectives and targets and meets service KPIs.
• To work with and monitor performance within clinics and the impact on the Mental Health Service.
• Coordination of the workforce to ensure all clinical activity is covered.
• To ensure the team have appropriate training, clinical skills and supervision to meet the needs of the service.

Clinical

· Toberesponsiblefordecision-makingandprofessionaladviceonindividualcasesand the allocation of resources to meet individual assessed needs.

· Tobeasourceofclinicalexpertiseandadvicefortheteaminthe executionoftheirduties.

· Tobeabletoprovidepracticalsupportwithintheclinicswhereneeded,andtomaintain skill base.

· Tosupportthedevelopmentofthecarerforumswithinthetriangleofcarer.

· ToleadontheresolutionofcomplaintsfromserviceusersandcarersasperTrustpolicy.

· Toreportandcompleteincidentforms,leadoninvestigationsandothergovernance processes as per Trust policy.

· Towritereportsforcoroner’sinquests,mentalhealthtribunalsandotherlegalprocesses as required.

· ToleadonandmanageallHRprocesseswithintheteamasperTrustpolicyandin conjunction with HR and the service manager
