Senior Healthcare Assistant
Hourly rate: From £12.80 + enhancements for bank holidays

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our client’s dedicated team. Our client provides specialist care for adults with neurological conditions and acquired brain injuries, offering a person-centred approach focused on rehabilitation, independence, and quality of life.

The ideal candidate will hold a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care and have a strong background in healthcare, preferably in specialist areas such as Neuro or Palliative care.

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
  • Significant experience in a healthcare setting, ideally with neurological or complex care needs
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to support and guide junior staff
  • Sound knowledge of relevant healthcare legislation and person-centred care principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive, compassionate approach to care and team support

Responsibilities

  • Lead by example in delivering high-quality, person-centred care to adults with complex needs
  • Support the assessment, planning, and evaluation of individual care plans
  • Mentor and supervise junior staff, promoting best practice and professional development
  • Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, service users, and families
  • Promote service user choice, dignity, and independence
  • Monitor and report changes in service users’ conditions to senior clinicians
  • Contribute to a safe, respectful working environment and uphold safeguarding standards
