Owen Payne Recruitment are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Weighbridge Operator to join our client who are a growing Waste Management company based in the Walsall Wood area.

If you have experience in Weighbridge and are looking for a new challenge, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

Hours of Work:

• 07:00 till 17:00 (Monday to Friday)

Salary:

• Starting from £35,600.00 per annum

Duties:

• Manage and operate the site’s electronic weighbridge system, directing traffic and ensuring safe and compliant operation
• Check incoming waste loads to make sure they meet site license conditions and accepted waste types
• Ensure all site users receive proper induction and instructions
• Keep accurate records of waste received, site access, and other weighbridge data as required
• Immediately report any issues or errors with the weighbridge system
• Work closely with site staff on waste checks, sampling, and related procedures
• Handle questions and maintain good relationships with customers and visitors
• Keep the weighbridge area clean, secure, and in good condition
• Report any issues with waste, safety, or site use promptly
• Provide first aid on site once trained
• Support the Waste Solutions and Finance teams with customer and waste data management
• Help with general admin tasks and customer service, including answering and directing phone calls
• Follow all company health, safety, HR, and environmental policies

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role, with solid knowledge of weighbridge operations
• Well-organized, detail-oriented, and punctual
• Strong communication skills and a team player
• Confident using weighbridge software and related technology
• Follows safety rules and compliance standards
• Good with computers, especially Microsoft Office
• Skilled at providing great customer service, both in person and over the phone
• Able to give constructive feedback when needed
