Job Summary:
As a Dog Groomer, you’ll play a vital role in creating a positive grooming experience for canines and their owners. The candidate must love working with animals, be skilled/qualified in all grooming techniques and have a calm and caring approach when dealing with all breeds and personalities of the pups.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within the pet industry in a startup salon, where your input will directly shape the grooming service, we provide and client experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform bathing, drying, brushing, trimming, styling and de-shedding on all various dog breeds.
• Nail clipping and ear cleaning.
• Maintain a salon hygiene safe place and ensure all equipment is cared for.
• Identify skin issues, ticks, or any health concerns and report them to the client.
• Ensure a stress free and gentle grooming session for all dog breeds/ages.
• Communicate with the client to understand individual preferences, requirements and special care needs.
• Assist on appointments, record-keeping and client feedback.
• Assist on social media and advertising of the salon.
• Any other ad hoc.
Qualifications:
• Minium 2+ years’ experience of dog grooming preferred.
• Certification in Dog Grooming or completed a Dog Grooming Apprenticeship.
• Excellent knowledge of breed-specific grooming standards.
• Strong animal-handling skills and patience.
• Ability to work on your own or within in a small team.
• Willingness to learn and grow with a startup salon.
