Crynodeb

Are you looking for your next exciting career opportunity? We could have the perfect role for you.

Academic Registry is one of the University of South Wales' (USW) key professional services departments, delivering high-quality administrative, logistical, and information services for students throughout their studies, from enrolment to graduation. We oversee academic quality assurance, enhancement, and the administrative services that underpin the University’s curriculum and student journey. The role will be based within the Student Records and Assessment Team of Academic Registry.

The Role

You will work across all areas of the team and will be assigned specific lead business process responsibilities for delivery within the team. The remit of the team includes student record management, academic integrity, assessment administration processes and services (including issuing results), graduation ceremonies, certificate, transcript and past student services with the associated systems, related web support and information.

About you:

A proactive, self-motivated and positive approach
An ability to develop, deliver and maintain your team’s services to a high performance
Strong relationship, influential and networking skills
A customer first mindset by building key customer and colleague relationships
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work accurately and quickly to plan key activities/events, complete complex tasks and manage others in meeting deadlines.
High standards in written, verbal and presentation skills
A minimum of 3 years’ experience within administration

Our people:

In Academic Registry we believe our people are our most important resource. We aim to enable staff to develop careers within USW and more widely across the HE sector. You will be able to take up opportunities for your development that will enhance your career prospects. As part of this team you will need to embrace the University’s Core Values and work to the Association of University Administrators ‘Professional Behaviors Framework’.

What We Offer

We promise a work environment that is both supportive and invigorating, with ample opportunities for professional growth and development. You will be welcomed into a culture that truly values every individual’s contribution.

Location

The University is currently operating a hybrid-model of working. The role will be based primarily at the USW Pontypridd campus, although you will need to travel and work at any of the three USW campuses as well as homeworking. The successful candidate would be expected to work on campus for a proportion of each week, typically 2 or 3 days. A flexible approach to working hours may be necessary to support the delivery of our services, with some work occasionally taking place outside normal office hours.

If you are a successful candidate and this position will be your first professional services role at the University (or you are currently employed by PSS Ltd), you will be employed by Professional and Support Services Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of South Wales, which provides services to the University and Colleges.
