We are advertising this vacancy as a recruitment business on behalf of our client. We can therefore only accept applications from those with a permanent right to live and work in the UK.

We are recruiting for a rapidly expanding practice who are looking for Structural Designers at senior to Associate level.
Projects vary from commercial, leisure and industrial. Large contract wins within the modular construction industry has created this great opportunity. Professional development is encouraged and there is a genuine career path here.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out detailed design calculations and preparations of design drawings, specifications and information in accordance to Eurocodes and British Standards.
Independently lead projects ranging from commercial, residential and education sectors.
Collaborate with team of civil engineers and technicians.
Guide and assist the practical training of Graduate and Technician Engineers.
Job / Project Accountabilities:
The appropriate level of technical expertise is required in order that the Job / Project Accountabilities listed below can be carried out to the necessary standards.
Contribute to concept design.
Send agreed alterations to design team for comment.
Attend design team meetings as appropriate.
Produce detailed design information including calculations and design sketches.
Send detailed design information to design team or Local Authority.
Formulate the project specifications for Senior Management approval.
Respond to queries resulting from the tender process.
Attend tender interviews if appropriate.
Attend site during construction phase if necessary to ensure construction is in accordance with specifications / drawings.
Carry out risk assessments and provision of design information for Health and Safety File.
General Accountabilities:
Complete timesheets on a weekly basis allocating time correctly against work stages.
Work within financial and programme constraints.
Gain knowledge and understanding of fee proposal preparation.
Contribute and provide information for fee proposals.
Consider financial implications in producing design options.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Civil/Structural Engineering. Minimum 2:1 Classification. Masters preferred.
Working towards chartership with IStructE or ICE.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred
· Use of Tekla TEDDS
· Experience using MasterSeries
· Experience using AutoCAD and Revit
