Crynodeb

Subsea7 is looking for a Project Engineer (Pipeline Installation) to join our Pipeline Group (PG) team at either our Westhill, Aberdeen or Sutton, London office on a full-time, permanent basis.



You will be part of a team of project installation engineers, dealing with different pipeline installation methods (S&J Lay, reel lay) for a package of work on either a project or tender. You will support the efficient day-to-day running of the engineering team and provide regular operational reports on general project engineering activities, technical subject matters, and resource management.



This will be a varied role but some of the main responsibilities include:



Follow project scope from early engagement with our internal and external clients through to offshore execution on board our reel lay assets.
Produce installation method statements and procedures, support procurement activities and subcontract follow up, proactively support HSEQ activities and prepare and deliver technical presentations.
Installation rigging calculations and rigging design.
Assist Tendering department with feasibility studies, method statements, manhour estimates, schedule inputs and costing support.
Supporting installation aid procurement, fabrication and testing follow up.
Follow your scope offshore on our installation vessels.

You will be degree qualified in Engineering/Marine/Naval/Offshore Technology / Civil / Mechanical or equivalent
You will have relevant experience as a project engineer in a subsea engineering field, ideally within an offshore pipeline installation role, particularly in the reel lay discipline (i.e., Reel Lay, J-Lay, S-Lay)
Ideally you will have previous offshore worksite experience will be beneficial
You should be a clear communicator, able to speak with all levels within the business, who is comfortable working on their own and as part of a team
You will have good report writing skills with the ability to self-check and produce accurate work, as well as the ability prioritise and organise your work accordingly to meet deadlines set by management
This role may involve short spells of overseas travel so candidates may need to show a willingness and flexibility
