Parks Development Officer
Ref: Redditch RQ1507520
Location: Redditch, B98 8AH, Hybrid working available
Rate: £16.10 per hour PAYE – with paid holiday and pension contributions
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday, with occasional evenings/weekends)
Contract: 3 months initially, with potential for extension, for the right candidate
We are currently recruiting an enthusiastic and proactive Parks Development Officer to support the day-to-day delivery and continuous improvement of a local Councils’ green spaces services.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Building strong working relationships with stakeholders, customers, and contractors.
Leading the development of strategic service plans and improvement initiatives.
Managing data records and reporting with accuracy and attention to detail.
Overseeing Stewardship applications and contract management.
Supporting open space needs assessments through planning and public consultation.
Implementing actions from the Leisure and Culture Strategy.
Advising on landscape, ecology, biodiversity, and habitat matters for planning teams.
Driving the delivery of the Green Flag Award programme with colleagues.
Leading promotional campaigns to enhance the visibility of park services.
Improving facilities to encourage public use and increase community satisfaction.
Who We’re Looking For:
A results-driven individual with experience in a mid-to-senior level role in a customer-focused setting.
Someone with strong knowledge or experience in Green Spaces, biodiversity, or landscape management.
A confident communicator with a track record in stakeholder engagement and service delivery.
