An exciting opportunity has become availableto join the Medical Education Department’s Undergraduate team at Northwick Park Hospital for a substantive role supporting delivery of undergraduate medical student placements and teaching programme and provides a great exposure to work with various clinical teams and colleagues across the trust.
The successful candidate will be a main point of contact for medical students assisting with tasks such as organising and preparing timetables/programme schedules and disseminating that in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring all educational leads are allocated and students sign-offs and assessments are completed, help organise the medical students exams, supporting assessments and curriculum implementation and delivery, maintain efficient office systems including keeping accurate records, the management and maintenance of the Undergraduate Education Centre facilities and more.
We are looking for someone that will be highly motivated, be able to demonstrate a pleasant and professional manner when dealing with people, has excellent communication skills, previous experience with managing data, attention to detail, organisational and forward planning skills, be quick to learn and able to prioritise own workload with minimum of supervision.
Key responsibilities for the post holder will include:
• Provide an efficient and comprehensive administrative support to the undergraduate education department maintaining a high professional standard at all times, ensuring efficient and effective support is provided.
• Ensure that students feel supported and are welcomed into an organised placement. Review, monitor and analyse student feedback and prepare action plans as necessary to support improvement.
• Contribute to positive experiences for medical students through helpful support and administration.
• Proactively plan and coordinate requirements for medical student activity across the hospital.
• Assisting the Director of Clinical Studies and Undergraduate Medical Education Manager in ensuring all educational leads are allocated and student timetables, and sign offs and assessments are complete.
• Assisting the Undergraduate Medical Education Manager with reporting requirements.
• Ensure the Clinical Skills Tutor and undergraduate teaching fellows are supported to enable them to deliver their role
• Ensure all the placement information is accessible to students before their start date as per agreed timelines.
• Maintain efficient office systems including keeping accurate records.
• Ensure precise data recording, identify, address and escalate data quality concerns.
• Contribute to developing reports, metrics, and audits to uphold robust data quality.
