Are you a passionate and dedicated healthcare professional looking to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a Newborn Hearing Screening site lead to join our dynamic team and play a key role in ensuring the best possible start for newborns and their families.

As a site lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of the newborn hearing screening programme in our South West London sites and The Portland Hospital. You will provide leadership and support to a team of screeners, ensuring high quality service delivery, compliance with national screening protocols, and excellent family-centred care.

The post holder will assist the SWL NHSP Programme Lead with clinical and operational service delivery of the Newborn Hearing Screening Programme in South West London and The Portland Hospital.

Lead and support teams of newborn hearing screeners and senior screeners.

Ensure screens are conduced efficiently and accurately.

Provide training , mentoring, and quality assurance.

Maintain accurate records and data management

Promote awareness of the newborn hearing screening programme.

We are looking for a motivated individual with:

Previous experience in newborn hearing screening or a related healthcare role.

Excellent communication and leadership skills.

1. Assist with leading the team/s to ensure they work cohesively and to best practice to support the organisation’s vision and values.
2. To agree annual leave for senior screeners and in their absence agree leave for screeners.
3. To cover the SWL Programme Lead’s duties (in their absence) as agreed with the Clinical Service Manager.
4. Ensure self and the team have been annually appraised and meet their mandatory training requirements and any other relevant Trust KPIs.
5. Participate and assist with organising screener training/update sessions
6. To support the NHSP Programme Lead with Health Roster where required.
7. To manage and regularly review the provision of outpatient clinics with the Patient Pathway Co-ordinator and Senior Screeners to ensure screening targets can be met.
8. Responsible for ensuring all learners are progressing through the HSD course and supporting learners to complete within the timeframe.
