Location: Nightingale Community Academy, Beechcroft Road, London, SW17 7DF
Working Pattern: 36 hour per week, 44.65 Weeks (Term Time Only)
Nightingale Community Academy is a special school in Wandsworth for 120 boys aged 5 to 19 with social emotional and mental health needs.
Primary pupils benefit from a purpose-built classroom hub and outdoor adventure playground and access to weekly music lessons and a comprehensive therapy service. Secondary and post-16 students are offered a broad curriculum including vocational courses such as motor vehicle studies, construction, horticulture and hospitality. All pupils benefit from regular animal therapy at Tom’s Farm, which is located on the spacious school site.

This vital role contributes to raising achievement by improving attendance and punctuality, supporting admissions, and working with families to overcome barriers to learning. You’ll play a key role in safeguarding, tracking persistent absence, and promoting a positive attendance culture across the school.
Key Responsibilities:
To contribute to raising achievement by improving school attendance.
To provide a specialist service to assist the school in meeting their obligations and targets in relation to school attendance, especially persistent absence.
To promote positive attitudes by students and families towards education and to ensure that parents are made fully aware of their statutory responsibilities.
