A Live in Nanny-Housekeeper is needed by this lovely family based in Southport, Merseyside to provide proper care for their precious baby and a toddler while maintaining the cleanliness of their home. An ideal candidate will be someone warm, experienced, and easygoing with a basic understanding of child development. This position involves a combination of sole charge and shared care, along with some proxy-parenting responsibilities. The nanny-housekeeper will also be expected to cook and prepare meals for the family. The family has a dog and it would be really helpful if the nanny-housekeeper can take him for a walk from time to time and feed when required. A driver is essential for this role, and the candidate must be comfortable driving both automatic and manual vehicles.
A valid first aid qualification is a requirement for this position.
Working hours: 5 days per week for 3 weeks each month, 6 days per week for one week each month, from 7:30 am to 7:30 pm, approximately 50 hours per week
Accommodation: Private self-contained annex flat within family home
Duties include:
Plan and facilitate daily educational, stimulating activities (crafts, baking, outdoor play, messy play, developmental games)
Organise and supervise playdates, nursery drop-off/pick-up, and attending local groups/classes/events
Preparation of nutritious meals, snacks, and meal planning for the children
Ensuring consistent routines and supporting their emotional, social, and developmental milestones
Occasional proxy parenting in the mornings or evenings when Mum attends gym/classes or external commitments (with prior notice always provided)
Daily tasks including laundry, ironing, wardrobe management, changing beds, tidying play areas, deep cleaning rooms regularly
Weekly ordering of groceries and household essentials in collaboration with mum
Keeping all clothing, linens, and household items clean, organised, and readily available
Managing household maintenance, liaising with contractors, and ensuring smooth running of the home at all times
