Start Date: September 2025
Salary: £160–£230 per day (dependent on experience and pay scale)
Contract Type: Full-time, Ongoing (with planning and preparation responsibilities)

An inclusive and forward-thinking primary school in Kings Heath (B14) is looking for a committed and enthusiastic Year 5 Class Teacher to join their team in September 2025. This is a full-time teaching role with full class teacher duties, including planning, preparation, delivery, marking, and assessment.

You will be part of a supportive and experienced Key Stage 2 team working in a well-resourced school with a strong sense of community and a genuine focus on pupil progress and staff well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver creative, engaging and well-structured lessons that meet the needs of all learners

  
  

• Take full classroom responsibility including lesson planning, preparation, marking, assessment, and reporting

  
  

• Create a positive learning environment with high expectations for behaviour and achievement

  
  

• Use a range of assessment strategies to monitor and support pupil progress

  
  

• Differentiate effectively to cater to the needs of a diverse class

  
  

• Attend staff meetings, collaborate with colleagues and contribute to year group and whole school planning

  
  

• Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents/carers

  
  Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential

    
    

  • Recent experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally in Year 5

    
    

  • Excellent knowledge of the national curriculum and effective classroom practices

    
    

  • Strong behaviour management skills and a nurturing approach

    
    

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    
    

  • Commitment to professional development and inclusive teaching
