Job Summary
The Head of Care is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality care within our care home. This position requires a passionate and dedicated individual who can effectively communicate with staff, residents, and their families.
Duties
Lead and supervise the care team to ensure the highest standards of care are delivered consistently.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and best practices in senior care.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the care home to enhance resident satisfaction and overall quality of care.
Provide training, support, and mentorship to staff members to promote professional development.
Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, to coordinate comprehensive care for residents.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to resident care and staff performance.
Oversee daily operations within the care home, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all residents.
Qualifications
Proven leadership experience in a senior care setting or similar environment.
Strong supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on empathy and understanding.
Knowledge of IT systems relevant to care management and record keeping.
Familiarity with developing and implementing effective care plans tailored to individual needs.
A genuine passion for providing exceptional care to seniors, ensuring their dignity and respect at all times.
Relevant qualifications in health or social care would be advantageous.
