Summary
The Role
The primary function of the Pouring department is to complete the pouring and takeout of the Gummy products according to the schedule within specification.
Reporting to the Makat SPO, the role of the Pouring Operator is to ensure that Gummy batches are poured to specification and efficiently according to the schedule. Simultaneously they must ensure that the takeout process is being completed correctly according to the schedule.
The Pouring Operator plays a key role to ensure high quality products are always made to meet the requirements of the customers and helps to ensure Food, Pharmaceutical and Hygiene standards are part of everyday working.
Responsibilities:
Knowledge and Skills
· Pour batches from the Gummy Cooking department to a high standard following the MIR (documentation) and ensuring no deviations.
· Complete takeout process for batches that have completed drying cycle.
· Complete MIRs and other relevant documents right first time.
· Ensure that hygiene standards are met to GMP requirements and meet the demands of the customer.
· Ensure company H&S standards are followed at all times (PPE & Dress regulations to be adhered to).
· General knowledge of Manufacturing systems OR fast moving consumer goods (FMCG).
· Ability to communicate at a good level of English, to be able to interact with other areas in the Makat department, H&S, Quality or R&D/Project teams when they are in the area.
· Manual Handling for lifting bags of raw materials weighing up to 25kg.
· Hold PPT license for moving of starch stacks (training given if not currently held)
Responsibility
· Use knowledge to complete basic preventative measures to ensure health and safety of everyone in the area or the quality of the product.
· Assist with the training of new starters in the area.
Physical Requirements
· Manual Handling for lifting bags of raw materials weighing up to 25kg.
· Lots of walking, back and forth from conditioning rooms whilst pushing/pulling stacks.
Working Conditions
· ATEX area, lots of starch dust to maintain.
· Full PPE required, which includes the wearing of: Safety Glasses, Safety Shoes, White Lab Coat, Hair Net (Beard Snood), and ear protection (All PPE will be provided).
Skills/Qualifications:
· Knowledge of Manufacturing systems OR fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) manufacture/distribution
· Good level English
· Good level Maths
