Summary
Workshop Labourer / Engineer
Cotham, Near Newark
Permanent
8am – 5pm, Mon – Fri: 40 hours
Saturdays on a rota
Salary £12.50 - £14.50 per hour DOE + O/T
We are a long-established Agricultural Engineering business who, due to increased workload, is looking to recruit a Workshop Labourer to join our small, friendly team.
Depending on previous experience, the role will involve anything from cutting and deburring metal tubes through to repairing gearboxes, building farm machinery or spray painting. You will start using basic hand tools and power tools and may progress to some welding and press machinery. Full training will be given in all areas.
You will also be responsible for keeping the working areas clean and tidy and will be required to move stock and parts in the yard and storage areas.
This is a physical, manual role, so candidates must be physically fit and able to stand for prolonged periods.
The basic hours of work are 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm, and Saturday, on a rota basis. Overtime is paid at time and a half for any hours worked over 40 per week.
Own transport required, due to the rural location.
This role will suit someone who is willing to work hard in a fast-paced environment, whether you are just starting out and looking to get in to an engineering environment, or whether you have years of previous experience that you can bring to the job.
If you are interested, please email your CV to Liz at Andrew Guest (Agricultural Engineers) Ltd on accounts@andrewguest.co.uk.
