Job Summary
Our client are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating excavators and other heavy machinery to perform various tasks on construction sites. The Excavator Operator will play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are completed safely and on schedule.
Responsibilities
* Operate excavators and other heavy machinery to perform digging, grading, and site preparation tasks.
* Conduct pre-operation checks on equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
* Follow site plans and specifications to execute precise digging operations.
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols.
* Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to coordinate activities.
* Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including cleaning and lubricating machinery.
* Report any mechanical issues or malfunctions to the supervisor promptly.
Qualifications
* Proven experience operating excavators or similar heavy machinery.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot minor issues.
* Valid commercial driving licence is preferred but not essential.
* Ability to read and interpret site plans and technical drawings.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety regulations.
* Physical stamina and capability to perform manual labour as required.
Pay and Hours
We will be paying £22 p/hour and the working hours will be 07:30hrs- 16:30hrs.
