Job Title: Assistant Management Accountant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Management Accountant to join our team in Walsall. Reporting to the Management
Accountant, the role will be working within for the Support Services Finance Team which looks after the Financial, Commercial and
Administrative aspects of the business. This position would suit an individual with all round experience in accounts, bookkeeping,
and purchase/sales ledger. The role will also involve Project Analysis to assist commercial and operational managers.

What’s the role:
* Perform cost allocation for project costing, ensuring accurate assignment of costs to appropriate projects.
* Review, code, and process supplier invoices, ensuring compliance with internal coding standards and budget alignment.
* Raise Purchase Orders (POs) in line with procurement procedures, and match/allocate them against corresponding purchase or
contractor invoices.
* Investigate and resolve supplier or contractor enquiries and disputes in a professional and timely manner.
* Conduct project analysis to support commercial and operational managers across the business, promoting financial efficiency and
offering constructive challenge where appropriate.
* Assist in the preparation of weekly cash flow reports and participate in cashbook reconciliation activities to maintain
accurate financial records.
* Manage and maintain staff expense accounts, ensuring accurate documentation, approvals, and timely reimbursements.
* Respond to general finance and accounting-related enquiries, providing clear and helpful information to internal and external
stakeholders.
* Ensure full compliance with internal policies, financial procedures, and relevant external regulatory requirements.
* Assist with internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and ensuring all aspects of compliance and
financial control are adequately met.
* Provide day-to-day supervision and support to the Finance Team, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner
What you’ll need:
* Currently studying towards AAT, CIMA, or ACCA qualifications, or possessing equivalent practical experience in a finance or
accounting role.
* Proven ability to work effectively under pressure, meet tight deadlines, manage multiple priorities, and maintain strong
organisational skills with keen attention to detail.
* Demonstrates strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels
of the organisation.
* Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite is advantageous; however, it is not essential, and training can be provided for the
right candidate.
