Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker/Health Care Assistant for our Neuro Rehabilitation team. This critical role is designed for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of patients recovering from neurological conditions such as stroke, brain injuries, and other cognitive impairments. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide essential support to individuals in their rehabilitation journey, focusing on enhancing their quality of life and promoting independence. You will work closely with patients, helping them with activities of daily living while also supporting them emotionally and physically through challenging rehabilitation processes. Your role will include delivering high-quality care, recording patient progress, and assisting therapy sessions under the guidance of healthcare professionals. Responsibilities
Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients throughout their rehabilitation process.
Monitor and record patients' progress and changes in condition, reporting relevant details to the nursing staff.
Aid in the administration of prescribed medications and treatments as directed by healthcare professionals.
Support therapy sessions by preparing necessary equipment and assisting patients during exercises or activities.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, ensuring that hygiene and safety standards are upheld.
Communicate effectively with both patients and their families, providing updates and addressing concerns as needed.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Support Worker, Health Care Assistant, or in a similar role preferred.
Certification in health and social care or related field is highly desirable.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and families.
Empathy and a genuine desire to support individuals in their rehabilitation journey.
Understanding of neuro rehabilitation concepts and patient care practices.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and treatment plans.

Hours Per Week:
Start Time: 07:00; 20:00
End Time: 19:30; 08:00
Pay Per Hour: £12.21
Location: Bristol, South West England
