Summary

Opportunity Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to work as a Creative Technical Demonstrator within the Film Production Equipment Store. This role will be required to work at the equipment store front desk and provide excellent customer service to students and academics.

You should have knowledge and experience of film production equipment and techniques, organising and maintaining resources and very good administration skills.

You will be expected to demonstrate high levels of initiative, and be creative, enthusiastic, open, and collaborative. You must demonstrate outstanding customer service, organisational skills, together with a high level of self-motivation and a commitment to working as part of a team. 

This position is full time permanent.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support with preparation and maintenance of specialist filming equipment.
  • Ensure the provision of excellent, relevant and timely front-line customer service to all customers both internal and external.
  • Maintain relevant databases to ensure the integrity of information and assets
  • Provide operational and administrative support including the provision of basic instruction documentation, user guides for the use of specialist equipment and data collection.
  • Provide support in equipment repairs and to ensure all equipment is fully maintained.
  • Engage with the University’s commitment to put our students first and deliver services which are customer orientated, represent value for money and contribute to the financial and environmental sustainability of the University when undertaking all duties and aspects of the role.
  • Engage with the Technician Commitment to promote the visibility, recognition, career development and sustainability of technical roles throughout the education sector.
