What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking an enthusiastic and inspiring Teacher of Design and Technology to join our forward-thinking department. You will:
• Teach Key Stages 3 and 4 (and Key Stage 5, if qualified)
• Delivering creative, enquiry-based D&T lessons that inspire and challenge.
• Contributing to departmental curriculum development and extra-curricular design projects (e.g., robotics clubs, product-design competitions).
Product design or engineering specialisms are strongly desirable, although all D&T backgrounds are welcome. Whether you’re an Early Career Teacher or an experienced practitioner, you’ll find a vibrant and ambitious department ready to support your professional growth.
Skills
• Ability to teach 11- 19 age range
• Proficiency in IT
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to contribute to the academy’s sports extra-curricular programme
• Ability to prioritise and organise demanding workload
