About the business unit 
Mott MacDonald’s support services are the driving force behind our organisation enabling us to run efficiently and effectively. The team works collaboratively to offer specialist advice, best practice and technology to all areas of our business specifically designed for our global reach.

We are recruiting a Website Operations Manager to jon the team on a 1 year fixed term contract.

Job Profile

Combining technical expertise with a strategic vision, this role ensures Mott MacDonald’s website(s) and digital experience platform reflects repeatable modern design principles and offers seamless user experiences.

The manager is responsible for keeping the website updated with the latest requirements and road-mapped features while adhering to all corporate guidelines and regulatory compliance, including accessibility and on/off-page SEO.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee web development, ensuring the website meets modern design and functionality standards.
- Stay updated with technological advancements to ensure the website offers a competitive user experience.
- Collaborate with the wider marketing team including brand, PR, social media and internal communications, for a unified approach to web and content strategies including best practice approach to key campaigns and content.
- Ensure all website updates and features are implemented in a timely manner, adhering to the project timelines.
- Monitor website performance and analytics to identify areas for improvement and coordinate implementation of necessary changes alongside website editor.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Liaise with regional marketing teams to support with website content strategies and publication of new content


Candidate Specification Experience and Knowledge of:

- Strong SEO and web development skills, including familiarity with modern digital tools and W3C standards.
- Experience with platforms like Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, and Optimizely CMS or their equivalents.
- Understanding of the latest web technologies and their relevance to our sector. o Strong experience working with accessibility standards such as WCAG.
- Understanding of website content and user journey best practice

- Drive to incorporate the latest and most appropriate web best practices while aligning with corporate standards, such as DPA/GDPR.
- Strategic thinker, ensuring the website serves both commercial and user needs.
