The Role:
As a Chef at the Moorland Kitchen, you will have the opportunity to showcase your culinary skills while maintaining high standards
of food quality, hygiene, and safety. Your responsibilities will include:
* Food Preparation: Following recipes and cooking methods to deliver consistent, high-quality dishes
* Stock Management: Efficiently handling stock, ensuring correct storage, and minimising food waste
* Kitchen Maintenance: Keeping all kitchen areas clean and safe, with a proactive approach to hygiene
* Safety Compliance: Strictly adhering to Health, Safety, and Fire regulations
* Team Leadership: Supervising kitchen operations and mentoring junior staff when required

About You:
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Chef who can bring the following:
* Culinary Expertise: BTEC or NVQ Level 2 in Hospitality Management or Professional Cookery, plus at least one year of
professional chef experience
* Operational Efficiency: Strong knowledge of stock control and experience in a busy kitchen
* Health and Safety Awareness: Understanding of hygiene regulations and the ability to maintain safety standards
* Leadership Skills: Capable of guiding and supporting junior kitchen staff
* Flexibility: Able to work early mornings (from 3 am), evenings, and weekends

Desirable Skills:
* Level 2 Food Safety certification
* Current First Aid at Work certificate
* Experience in menu planning and costing
