A specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school in Grantham is seeking two experienced Class Teachers to join their dedicated team. These full-time positions offer the opportunity to work with either Primary or Secondary students, depending on your expertise.
The school caters to pupils aged 5-16 with complex SEMH needs. As a part of a large multi-academy trust, the setting benefits from a wealth of expertise and resources dedicated to providing outstanding education and care.
The Role:
You'll deliver creative, individualised lessons tailored to students with a range of SEMH needs. The setting prioritises emotional wellbeing alongside academic achievement, so a nurturing, structured approach is essential. You'll work collaboratively with support staff, therapists and families to implement strategies that support each student's development and progress.
Role Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (ECT's welcomed to apply)
- Experience in supporting students with SEN or SEMH
- The ability to tailor education to needs of neurodiverse students
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Calm, empathetic, and adaptable in approach
