Lyndhurst is looking for Early Years Educators to join the existing nursery team at an exciting time of expansion. The roles are for Keyworkers familiar with supporting the learning and development of all children whilst also keeping records on their own keyworker group.
About the Role
To be a member of a professional team contributing to and supporting the overall development, learning and care of nursery and infant age pupils. Contributing, to the smooth running of the class and the maintenance of a safe and stimulating learning environment. Contributing to the development of the whole school. 1. Taking an active role in the provision of a safe and stimulating learning environment. 2. Taking an active role in the provision of a full and balanced range of learning experiences, ensuring the care and wellbeing of pupils, and maintaining positive links with parents and professionals working with the school. 3. To take an active role in addressing the targets of the individual work plan and identifying and partaking in training for continual professional development. 4. Leading classroom sessions and being responsible for class of pupils in the teachers’ absence.
What skills and experience we're looking for
NVQ 3 in the relevant field or equivalent qualification Training in the relevant strategies, e.g. literacy and/or in particular curriculum or learning area, e.g. additional languages, sign language, dyslexia, ICT, maths, English, CACHE, etc. Basic understanding of the principles of child development and learning processes Effective use of ICT and general technical equipment to support learning Full working knowledge of relevant polices / codes of practice and awareness of relevant legislation relating to child protection, health and safety, equal opportunities and confidentiality Working knowledge of the national / foundation stage curriculum and other relevant learning programmes / strategies Thorough knowledge of how children learn in the EYFS and how learning at this stage affects pupils’ future learning Appropriate first aid training or willingness to undertake upon appointment Knowledge and understanding of different social, cultural and physical needs of children NVQ level 3 qualification with primary/early years focus or recent relevant CPD particularly in relation to EYFS/KS1 Knowledge and understanding of a range of special educational needs
