Summary
Part of the Fred. Olsen Ltd group of companies since 1952, Forrest Estate is a 4300 hectare estate in St Johns Town of Dalry, Castle Douglas. The concept is to create a long-term commercial forest while enhancing rural employment.Over the years there has been significant investment with diversification into hydro-electric power, tourism field sports and importantly the development of Natural Power, expert consultants to the international renewable energy industry. Due to continued growth, we are looking for two highly motivated individuals to join our small but dedicated team. As the successful candidate, you will be required to carry out a variety of manual tasks around the estate to assist in the day-to-day running of the business. You will be a strong communicator across all levels and flexible in your approach to getting the job done. You will be a team player, keen to play your part and encourage others to do the same. Given the nature and location of the role, you will need to be in possession of a full, clean Driving Licence and have access to your own transport. Previous experience within forestry, agriculture or construction is a minimum requirement. This is a Full-Time Permanent position, the average working hours will be 42.5 per week, Monday-Friday. Exact working hours will vary depending on the season.
