A little about myself:
I am a young girl living in Swansea. I have ASD, fragile x, (learning disabilities) and can display some challenging behaviours when distressed.
I am verbal however I can use inappropriate language and can struggle to manage my emotions. I love all things Disney, especially Alice in. Wonderland, and love sonic the hedgehog. I am looking for a PA to take me out a few hours a week and do some fun activities like the park, going on walks looking for rabbit holes lol, going for food, arcade, arts and crafts, soft play, trampoline.
Driver required to take me out.
Female preferred due to toileting needs.
Hours of work
6 hours a week. (evenings and weekends)
Rate of pay.
£12.75
Essential:
I need you to:
• Have experience with Learning disabilities and SEN needs
• Be able to help me find the toilet
Desirable
I’d prefer if:
• You are fun and bubbly
I’d like support with
• Doing fun things
• Using the toilet
I will need my PA to:
Respect and understand the importance of privacy and confidentiality.
Be confident, mature and have patience.
Be dependable and arrive on time.
Be friendly with an easy-going manner.
Be adaptable and flexible.
Be supportive but not take over.
Have business insurance on your car to take clients out.
Concerning the position
A trial period will be necessary in the first instance in the form of a six-month probationary period. Salary will be paid monthly (Annual leave is calculated on a pro rata basis). A DBS MUST be processed prior to any commencement of employment. Costs of DBS will be met by Swansea council where applicant is eligible.
