Exciting Opportunity: Band 5 Occupational Therapist
We are delighted to announce a Band 5 Occupational Therapy role within the vibrant and supportive environment of City & Hackney. This rewarding post offers the opportunity to work across inpatient wards, including both adult and specialist settings.
As part of this role, you will play an integral part in the Occupational Therapy process—assessing individuals upon admission and delivering tailored, impactful interventions. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) and the Occupational Therapy department to uphold a high standard of clinical care. Your responsibilities will include a mix of 1:1 sessions and group work, ensuring comprehensive ward-based OT provision.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be based in the Occupational Therapy department, with accountability for one ward. You will also be actively involved in the Band 5 preceptorship program, fostering your professional growth, and contributing to in-service training initiatives.
We are seeking someone passionate, dedicated, and ready to make a difference. If you are looking for a role that blends professional development with meaningful patient care, this is the opportunity for you.
Join us and be a part of a team that transforms lives.
East London NHS Foundation Trust is thrilled to announce the expansion of our static inpatient mental health posts. We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Occupational Therapists, whether newly qualified or experienced, who are eager to gain invaluable clinical experience as a Band 5 within our forward-thinking and supportive Therapy Services.
You will be joining well-led, dynamic, and friendly teams of multidisciplinary practitioners who are committed to integrated working, optimising patient care, and fostering exceptional team morale. Collaboration and innovation are at the heart of everything we do, ensuring both positive patient experiences and outcomes across all wards and teams.
As a Band 5 Occupational Therapist, you will work as an autonomous clinician under weekly supervision and as a vital member of the Multidisciplinary Team. Your responsibilities will include:
• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments.
• Collaborating on patient-agreed goals and expectations.
• Delivering skilled interventions and treatments.
• Facilitating safe and timely patient discharges across clinical areas.
In every area, you will benefit from access to experienced senior Occupational Therapists for professional supervision, as well as robust opportunities for clinical and professional training, preceptorship and development.
If you are passionate about making a difference and developing your career within a supportive and innovative environment, we would love to hear from you.
