We are seeking a detail-oriented trainee Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for projects, ensuring that all financial aspects are meticulously calculated. This role is crucial in supporting our estimating management team.
Duties
Analyse project specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work and required materials.
Prepare detailed cost estimates by evaluating labour, materials, and overhead costs.
Collaborate with project managers to gather necessary information for accurate estimations.
Maintain comprehensive records of all estimates, including calculations and assumptions made during the estimation process.
Provide support during the bidding process by preparing bid documents and presenting estimates to clients.
Qualifications
Degree in Quantity Surveying or working towards qualification.
Strong understanding of cost control principles and practices.
Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with team members and clients.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
