Crynodeb
The successful applicant will have responsibility to contribute to our sexual health strategy in line with the National Strategies and Kent Public Health priorities including meeting our accessibility targets, population health targets including ending the HIV epidemic (UK 2030 Zero HIV Transmission), increasing Chlamydia testing in those aged < 25 years and reducing unplanned pregnancy through availability of LARC contraception. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing a case load of GUM and HIV patients and supporting nurse led clinics. The successful applicant will also be expected to provide safeguarding of young people and vulnerable adults attending the service. The service is supported by a Safeguarding lead nurse and the Trust Safeguarding team. To assume responsibility, both personally and corporately with consultant colleagues, for the management of junior medical staff. You are expected to be involved in their professional development, both clinical and personal as per guidance from the Deanery. The Sexual health service is due to start receiving F2 doctors in August 2024 as part of a new Foundation Program development. You are required to take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and others who may be affected by what you do while at work. You must adhere to Trust IRMER Regulations.
