Job Title: Summer Accommodation Cleaner
(Previous commercial cleaning experience required)
NW Recruitment Services Ltd are proud to be partnering with a trusted national provider of specialist facilities management services, to recruit Accommodation Cleaners for the busy summer turnaround period. These temporary roles involve deep cleaning of student accommodation in cities across the UK, ensuring rooms and communal areas are prepared to a high standard for new arrivals.
This is a fantastic opportunity for reliable, hardworking individuals to develop further experience for professional organisation over the summer months. We are recruiting multiple individuals in each of the following cities / locations.
• Locations: Multiple UK Cities – including London (all areas), Newcastle, Glasgow, Liverpool, Coventry, Birmingham, Manchester, Nottingham, Lincoln, Sheffield, Bangor
*Please note that we are unable to offer sponsorship on these positions, a valid UK right to work (including active share code confirming right to work required)*
Key details:
• Employer: NW Recruitment Services Ltd
• Job Type: Temporary (Summer Contract)
• Working Hours: 45 to 65 hours per week (flexible shifts, including weekends)
• Period required: June to September 2025
• Pay Rate: National Minimum Wage (Paid Weekly for previous weeks hours)
• Accommodation: Provided based on site availability, desirable for applicants to reside in each of the local region
Key responsibilities:
Carry out deep cleans in student accommodation, including:
• Bedrooms: vacuuming, wiping surfaces, removing rubbish
• Bathrooms: disinfecting, descaling, restocking supplies
• Kitchens: cleaning appliances, cupboards, surfaces
• Communal areas: mopping floors, wiping down high-touch areas, bin removal
Additional duties:
• Use cleaning materials and equipment safely and correctly
• Follow cleaning schedules and meeting tight turnaround times
• Work independently or as part of a team depending on site needs
• Report maintenance or safety issues as required
• Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and hygiene protocols
Requirements:
• Previous cleaning experience required
• Flexibility with shift patterns is essential – including weekends and long hours
• Ability to perform physical tasks in a fast-paced environment (unit-based allocation of hours, for example Kitchen: 6 hours).
• High attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
• Punctual, dependable, and able to follow instructions
• Strong work ethic and ability to work well with others
